Kremlin Wall Necropolis
The Kremlin Wall Necropolis is the memorial burial site along the eastern segment of the Kremlin Wall on Red Square in Moscow. From 1917 until the mid-1980s it served as the Soviet Union's national cemetery with mass graves, individual graves, urn niches in the wall, a row of granite tombs, and Lenin's Mausoleum at its centre. It remains a protected cultural landmark and a place of public remembrance.
