Charles Bridge is a medieval stone arch bridge crossing the Vltava in Prague, linking the Old Town with the Lesser Quarter. The 516-metre, roughly 10-metre-wide bridge is composed of sixteen arches, topped by a continuous avenue of Baroque statues and protected at its ends by three fortified bridge towers.

The deck is paved with split granite bands and edged by a low sandstone balustrade carrying an uninterrupted avenue of thirty Baroque statues on high plinths. Three fortified bridge towers—two at the Lesser Quarter end, one at the Old Town end—punctuate the line; nearby copper domes and red‑tiled roofs frame the river setting.
