The Great Strahov Stadium is an enormous rectangular stadium on Strahov hill in Prague, built for mass gymnastic displays (Sokol and later Spartakiads) and later used for concerts and sporting events. At peak capacity it held around 250,000 spectators and comprises continuous low concrete terraces encircling a very large central grass field.

A vast rectangular concrete bowl wrapping a grass field roughly 310 by 202 metres; continuous stepped concrete terraces and wide promenades encircle the pitch, punctuated by a low covered main stand and tall floodlight masts. The material palette is bare weathered grey concrete with bands of wooden or painted bench planks, metal railings and wide access ramps; the northern rim opens to a Prague skyline on the hill beyond.
