Novodevichy Cemetery

Novodevichy Cemetery is a walled, park-like burial ground adjacent to the southern wall of the Novodevichy (Smolensky) Convent in Moscow. Established in its modern form around 1904 and expanded in the mid-20th century, it contains rows of sculpted monuments, upright headstones, small chapels and a columbarium built into the cemetery walls.
