Mauldslie Castle
Mauldslie Castle was a country estate mansion at Dalserf, South Lanarkshire, developed around a 16th‑century tower house and remade as an 18th‑century baronial mansion with 19th‑century extensions. The estate included pleasure grounds, a walled garden, a courtyard stable range and lodges; Mauldslie Bridge across the River Clyde provided an approach. The mansion was demolished in 1931; several estate buildings and the bridge survive.

Mauldslie developed around a 16th-century tower house at Dalserf on the Clyde. In 1792 Thomas Carmichael, 5th Earl of Hyndford, built a baronial mansion there to a design by Robert Adam; the estate's workers established the nearby village of Rosebank before 1816. After Andrew, the last Earl of Hyndford, died without issue in 1817, the upper estate passed to Sir Windham Carmichael-Anstruther and the lower part to Gordon of Harperfield, then William Dixon.
William Hozier, 1st Baron Newlands, bought the estate in 1850. James Hozier, 2nd Baron Newlands, who inherited in 1906, hosted King George V and Mary of Teck at the mansion in July 1914, just before the outbreak of the First World War. The mansion was demolished in 1931 and the lands sold off in forty separate lots; several estate buildings survive, along with Mauldslie Bridge across the Clyde.
