Castello Utveggio
Castello Utveggio is a monumental palace built on a promontory of Mount Pellegrino overlooking Palermo, Sicily. Erected between 1928 and 1933 in a Neogothic style with crenellated rooflines, it has served as a private residence, luxury hotel and later a regional institutional building.

Regular rows of tall, arched and rectangular windows line the façades. The roofline is defined by battlemented parapets. Surrounded by dense Mediterranean pines and scrub, the structure reads as a fortified residence set high above the city, intact and well-maintained.
