As it stood in 2010

What RCDE Stadium looked like in its prime.

A rectangular natural-grass pitch with alternating light-and-dark mowing stripes sits within a continuous bowl of blue seating; white block letters reading 'RCD ESPANYOL' span the central tier. A broad cantilevered roof covers the stands, its underside revealing an exposed steel truss lattice and longitudinal roof panels. Concrete aisles, metal railings and advertising hoardings run around the pitch edge; player technical benches and a narrow service strip separate grass from lower seats. Scale and geometry convey a modern medium-sized stadium.
